My project is about psychopaths being devoured and marginalized by society. My inspiration comes from a South Korean TV drama Mouse, which raises the question of whether it is possible to scan a psychopath in the mother's womb using fetal genetic testing. Moreover, should the mother choose to give birth to the baby if it does? Through this TV series, I learned about
psychopaths who are driven by bloodlust and even enjoy killing. Psychopaths are not just bloodthirsty killers but also cold-blooded and unsympathetic people. They are selfish and ruthless and would take any measure to serve their ends. The show uses the mouse as a symbol of ordinary people and the snakes as the evil, malicious people who endanger the community's safety. Therefore, I also integrated images of mice and snakes in the painting as a metaphor for the tension between ordinary people and psychopaths. A snake runs through two paintings, with complex and interlacing sewage pipes in the background, which signifies the psychopaths and the known evil are being excluded and excreted by the society.
